A Different Kind of Case Study: Taking Over a Winner

This brand came to us already growing. That's the hardest kind of account to improve, there's no low-hanging fruit, and any agency can hide behind momentum that was already there. So we marked the exact month our engagement began on the charts below. Judge us on what happened after the dotted line.

The Situation

A prescription oral care product with a real clinical niche and a content program that had been building steadily for a year. The risk was a plateau: rankings had wobbled sideways through spring, page-1 keywords had slipped from their March peak, and the brand needed a partner who could find growth beyond what was already captured.

In a pharma-adjacent category, every claim also has to be accurate. Content here can't cut corners, which rules out most volume-based SEO playbooks.

Our Approach

Full audit of the existing content library against live Search Console data to find stalled pages
Condition-adjacent content targeting the questions patients actually ask, medication side effects, drug interactions, symptom causes
On-page and internal-link restructuring to consolidate authority on the money pages
Technical cleanup and structured data for medical content
Category-term push: competing directly for the generic product-category searches, not just branded ones

The Receipts

Live rankings including the generic category term, positions and monthly impressions from Google Search Console, June 21 to July 20, 2026.

The Results

In the first full month after the handoff, page-1 keywords jumped from 7,082 to an all-time high of 10,567 (+49%), and monthly organic clicks rose from 3,881 to 5,272 (+36%), the site's best month ever. The brand now holds a top-3 position for its generic category term against national health publishers.

Breaking a plateau is harder than starting from zero. The levers here were precision ones: reviving stalled pages, consolidating authority, and going after the category head-terms most brands consider out of reach.
